Today’s special guest is Amine @aityaakub
Amine is a political risk analyst advising companies on operational risks and security threats particularly linked to their operations in Africa and the Middle East. He is the co-founder of Dispatch Diligence, a small Africa and Middle East-focused research and consulting firm based in Washington, DC and is currently completing a PhD at King’s College London focused on the geopolitics of critical mineral. Most recently, Amine conducted some interesting research on the intersection of social media and irregular migration in North Africa, discussing the extraordinary journey of North African irregular migrants through treacherous areas across several South American countries towards the United States. Some of Amine’s work on this topic was recently featured in the Economist and WIRED, among others.
